The man who’s secured the F1 title for 2023 – Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen – is a huge favorite to win on Sunday, but it’s the battle for the No. 2 spot that’s bound to be super-exciting.

Reasons Why Max Verstappen’s 2023 US GP Odds are  -450

Max Verstappen is the winner of 14 of the 17 Formula 1 races run in 2023. He’s got a chance to even the F1 record for most wins in a single season, which he set last season after winning 15 races. With five events left on the 2023 Formula 1 calendar, he’s got a chance to break this record.

He also stands a chance to get to the shared third spot on the list of the most successful drivers in the United States Grand Prix if he triumphs on Sunday. Verstappen currently has two wins at the Circuit of the Americas, which is fewer than only four drivers.

Only one of those drivers is still competing in Formula 1 in 2023. The man in question is Lewis Hamilton who’s got six US GP wins in his portfolio. Winning another one would help him get back in the race for the No. 2 spot in the 2023 F1 Drivers’ Championship standings.

Lewis Hamilton Desperate for Points After Retiring from the Last Race

The English driver suffered a crash on the first corner in the first lap of the previous F1 race, for which he had to retire. After failing to win zero points two weeks ago, he’s now in third place with 30 points fewer than Verstappen’s Red Bull colleague Sergio Perez.

Those two are the ones who will be competing for the second spot in the remainder of the season. Hamilton might be a better driver than Perez, with way more experience, but Perez has a better car, as well as a better team to support him.

Formula 1 US GP 2023 Prediction

Max Verstappen is very, very likely to win Sunday’s race. That said, the big question here is not who’s going to win the US GP 2023 but who’s gonna finish second. We’re not sure, but we’re almost 100% certain it’s going to be either Hamilton or Perez.

Pick: Max Verstappen to win; Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez podium finish
