When, Where, and How to Watch?

  • Place: Bristol Motor Speedway, Bristol, Tennessee
  • Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025

  • How to Watch: FOX Sports 1

2025 Food City 500 Odds Favor Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin

They’re both priced at +400, which suggests that oddsmakers can’t make up their minds on who’s more likely to win at Bristol. Both are NASCAR legends with exceptional skills, but so are most other drivers that will compete on April 13.

That said, there are some specific reasons why these two stand above the rest of the crowd. Larson, for example, is a guy who loves short tracks, the evidence being that he won twice in Bristol.

Both of those wins happened in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. Last year, for example, we saw him lead 462 of 500 laps, marking one of the most commanding performances in Bristol’s history.

He’s still without a win in the Food City races, which is Denny Hamlin’s specialty. He won this in 2024. Plus, same as Larson, he also has two wins at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

Another reason why Hamlin’s 2025 Food City odds are shorter than most of the drivers is that he’s the man who won the last two NASCAR races – the Cook Out 400 in Martinsville and Goodyear 400 at Darlington.

Other Drivers to Watch Out for at 2025 Food City 500

While Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin are the top Food City 500 favorites, there are three other drivers with NASCAR odds shorter than +1000. These are, namely:

  • Christopher Bell – He has a strong record at Bristol, including a win in the 2023 Food City 500 and a fifth-place finish in the 2024 Bass Pro Shops Night Race. Bell is also in fine form, finishing on the podium in the last two races of the 2025 season.
  • Ryan Blaney – In last year’s Food City 500, he secured the pole position, but then finished in the 16th place in the end. He’s determined to do much, much better this time around.
  • Chase Elliott – Throughout his career at Bristol, Elliott has achieved four top-five and eight top-10 finishes in 14 starts, with an average starting position of 7.6 and an average finish of 11.6. Notably, he won the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race held at Bristol, leading 60 of 140 laps.

The only driver with 2025 Food City odds of over +1000 that caught our eye is William Byron. Priced at +1100, he looks like a good option for longshot bet fans, mainly because he’s still at the top of the Drivers’ Championship.

He hasn’t won a race since the season-opener, meaning that he’s hungry for success. If he wins on April 13, he’ll stay in the No. 1 spot. If he doesn’t do well, he might drop a few places down.

2025 Food City 500 Prediction

After a horrible finish (37th) last weekend in Darlington, Kyle Larson is determined to get back on the right track. Not only does he have the motivation to win the 2025 Food City 500, but he also has the skills and a proven track record of success in Bristol.

Pick: Kyle Larson
