The 2025 Jack Link’s 500 is on the program on Sunday, April 27 at Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama, which is one of the most iconic tracks in NASCAR.
It’s famous around the world for the cult classic Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby with Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Sacha Baron Cohen. Among motorsports fans, the track is famous for providing one of the most intense experiences in NASCAR.
The evidence of this is that Dega favorites rarely end up winning. Last year, for example, an underdog with +2200 NASCAR odds for Talladega won the race, which was then known as the GEICO 500. Two years ago, it was a +1500 underdog who won, and so on.
Plus, we haven’t seen a NASCAR driver win this race twice in a row in over two decades, which is more proof of this event’s unpredictability.

Reasons Why Kyle Larson and William Byron are Our Top Dega Picks
As you already know, oddsmakers tend not to do well with their predictions for Talladega races, which is why you shouldn’t pay too much attention to 2025 Jack Link’s 500 odds.
They’re all incredibly long, so whoever might be your 2025 Jack Link’s 500 pick, you will get good betting value. Speaking of which, our top Dega April 27 picks are Kyle Larson and William Byron, which may seem strange as neither of them has won this race before.
Byron did come close in 2021 when he finished second. The reason why we think he’s got a good chance of winning it on April 27 is that he’s been fantastic since the start of the 2025 season, which is his arguably best campaign to date.
When it comes to Larson, he’s got some nasty memories from this event, with the 2019 race seeing him flip his car several times. But he doesn’t have a Talladega PTSD as he proved several times.
In 2022, he finished fourth at the GEICO 500, while we also saw him finish fourth in the Talladega Playoff race last year (YellaWood 500).
Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin Chasing a Podium Finish
Unlike Larson who had a big crash at Talladega, Ryan Blaney is someone who’s great at avoiding incidents, which is one of the reasons why he’s considered a sort of favorite for the April 27 race.
Another reason for that is that he’s a great superspeedway driver, who’s got two wins at Talladega – both in the YellaWood 500.
The reason why we’re not 100% confident he’s actually going to win the 2025 Jack Link’s 500 race is that he hasn’t been too impressive this year. He’s still without a podium finish, with his best result being the No. 5 position in the previous two races.
Then, there’s Denny Hamlin, who’s been in brilliant form lately, with three straight Top 3 finishes. Same as Blaney, he too has a very good record at Talladega, so we’re pretty confident he’ll get on the podium once again.
Brad Keselowski Set for His First Top 10 Finish in 2025 NASCAR
The NASCAR Talladega 2025 lineup features several GEICO 500 winners, the most successful of whom is Brad Keselowski. He’s won this event four times already, most recently in 2021.
But he’s a huge underdog in the April 27 event, the main reason being that he’s been out of shape in 2025. He’s in the 31st place in the NASCAR Drivers’ Championship, with his best finish this season being the No. 11 position in the fifth race on the calendar.
Our prediction is that he’s going to have his best performance of the year on April 27 in Dega. He loves this race and is super motivated to improve his standing.
Top 2025 Jack Link’s 500 Prediction
Come April 27, we will be putting our money on Kyle Larson to win the 2025 Jack Link’s 500. Sure, he hasn’t done much at Dega in his career, but we think this is the year when everything changes. But, if you want to play it (more) safe, the best pick is Ryan Blaney Top 3 finish.
Pick: Kyle Larson
