Marc Marquez Is Our Top Pick for the April 27 Race
Marc Marquez secured the pole position in each of the four races of the 2025 MotoGP. He also recorded the fastest lap in each of those. Further, he won the top position on the podium in three of those four races – Thailand GP, Argentine GP, and Qatar GP.

The only race that he didn’t win in 2025 was the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas on March 30. Actually, he didn’t even finish that race. What happened there was that he crashed on lap nine, which forced him to retire from the race.
But that crash didn’t mess him up. Instead, he bounced back straight away with a win in Qatar. That race too saw some tensions – he suffered a collision with his brother Alex but managed to overcome the setback.
Can Francesco Bagnaia Mess His Teammate’s Plans?
Francesco Bagnaia won the race in America, but he probably wouldn’t have done it hadn’t it been for Marquez’s crash. He’s a hell of a rider, but he just isn’t as good as his teammate.
However, you can be certain that he’s determined to prove otherwise. So far in 2025, we’ve seen him finish in each of the top 4 positions once.
In the most recent MotoGP race, he finished second, which is actually a great achievement given that his position on the starting lineup was No. 8.
Alex Marquez to Get Back on the Podium
One of our top Spanish MotoGP picks for the April 27 race is that Alex Marquez will finish in the Top 3. He finished second in each of the first three races. Alex started all of those races from the No. 2 position.
The same was the case in the most recent race on the 2025 MotoGP calendar. He started the race second but ended up finishing in the No. 6 position.
Despite that mishap, he’s still sitting in the No. 2 place in the Riders’ Standings. He’s got a chance to leapfrog his brother to the No. 1 spot, although for that, he’d need to win on April 27, while Marc would have to retire from the race.
A more plausible scenario is that he’s going to drop down to third place. But he can avoid this scenario if he finishes on the podium.
2025 Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix Prediction
We think Alex Marquez will finish in the top 3 positions at the 2025 Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix. But we don’t think he’ll win. Instead, we think his brother Marc will do it.
What about Marc’s colleague from Ducati Lenovo Team, Francesco Bagnaia? Our prediction is that he’ll finish in second place.
Pick: Marc Marquez
