Asia Gaming Brief’s ASEAN Gaming Summit has returned, providing gambling industry experts, leaders, and stakeholders with important networking opportunities. Among other things, the industry summit will allow stakeholders to learn more about the latest trends, discuss the current challenges, and plan the future of gaming.

PAGCOR’s Chair Will Inaugurate the Event

As announced earlier this year, the 2025 edition of the event takes place at the Shangri-La The Fort in Manila, the Philippines. March 17 has been set aside for a variety of pre-event activities, while the main summit will take place on March 18 and 19.

Today, industry representatives can participate in two insightful workshops and a welcome reception in the afternoon.

According to the official announcement, the main evenт will “provide a vital platform for knowledge-sharing and strategic discussions across the industry.” The main event will be inaugurated with a much-anticipated State of the Industry Address by Alejandro H. Tengco, chair of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). The speech will offer valuable insights into the world of Philippine gaming and will set up the tone for the rest of the event.

Discussing Challenges and Highlighting Opportunities

According to Asia Gaming Brief, this year’s ASEAN Gaming Summit’s agenda will focus on key issues concerning the sector. These will include the evolving regulated iGaming landscape, strategies for overcoming know-your-customer challenges in the Philippines, and new market opportunities in other Asian countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to that, sessions will examine the convergence of land-based and online gaming and the use of technology and intelligent systems. Another important topic would be the role of non-gaming attractions in enhancing integrated resorts’ revenue.

Furthermore, a special panel will highlight the changing demographics in Asia and will discuss operators’ strategies to appeal to younger players.

Asia Gaming Awards Returns Too

In addition to everything else, the ASEAN Gaming Summit 2025 will once again host the Asia Gaming Awards, recognizing the achievements of the frontrunners in Asian gambling.

The prestigious awards show will take place on the evening of March 18 and will include several categories. The hosts have prepared awards for land-based excellence, online gaming achievements, and regulatory progress. There will also be two sub-categories of Industry Voice awards. Since this year’s summit will have a special focus on regulation, the Asia Gaming Awards have added new regulatory categories to celebrate “top movers and shakers” in their space.

The shortlist of participants was announced a few days ago, highlighting a mix of new and returning competitors. Some of last year’s winners, including Bloomberry Resort, Solaire, Newport World Resort, Aristocrat, Light & Wonder, and Everi, will return for another shot at the top spot.
