Australia: Couple Finally Takes Honeymoon After $1.6M Jackpot
The couple won the life-changing jackpot from TattsLotto's draw on Saturday and holds one out of a total of three division one winning entries

An incredibly fortunate couple from Stawell, Australia, is looking forward to their honeymoon after winning a life-changing AU$1.6 million ($1.01 million) lottery prize. The lucky couple holds one out of the three division one winning entries from TattsLotto’s draw on Saturday.
The Couple Plans to Go On a Honeymoon, Despite Being Married for Two Decades
Although the couple’s marriage was more than 20 years ago, they never celebrated by going on a honeymoon. Now, two decades later and after the life-changing win, the husband and wife will be heading “somewhere in Australia” for their much-awaited honeymoon.
As noted, there were a total of three division one winning entries on TattsLotto’s draw 4555 on Saturday. The winning numbers of the draw were 3, 27, 30, 15, 16 and 13 along with supplementary numbers 19 and 33. The lucky couple purchased their winning 12-game entry from Stawell Lotto at 105 Main Street in Stawell.
The Lott contacted the fortunate winners via phone to notify them about the life-changing prize. As it turned out, when one official from the lottery called the husband about the AU$1,695,309.35 ($1.08 million) win, he was already aware that he scored the big prize but was waiting for confirmation from The Lott.
After the Win, the Fortunate Man Was Speechless
The fortunate Victorian admitted that he is a seasoned lottery player and enjoys TattsLotto. “I’ve always played the same numbers, which were chosen at random once upon a time,” the man said. He revealed that he checked his ticket on Saturday night after the drawing. Realizing that he had just won the top prize, the man was left speechless. “There were a lot of things going around in my head,” he said.
The lucky winner added: “I refused to believe the news because I didn’t want to jinx it. I told my wife that I wouldn’t believe the news until I received the winning phone call, but here we are!” The man’s wife was by his side when talking to the lottery official. The woman laughed that 20 years after their wedding, they would finally enjoy their honeymoon. “We will have other plans for the prize, but we need to have a think about it first,” she added.
Earlier this month, a lucky Aussie man cried tears of joy after scoring an AU$10 million ($6.3 million) Powerball jackpot. The lucky Queenslander was overwhelmed by the life-changing prize after scoring the single division one winning entry from the game’s 1503 draw.
