Will the Baltimore Ravens Cover the 10-Point Spread in Week 8?

The Ravens have every right to feel good about their chances this season. They’re playing like a team that could win the Conference. In their last five games, they defeated some real heavyweights, namely:

Baltimore’s defense, on the other hand, hasn’t been as great. They’re conceding 25.7 points per game in the 2024 NFL, which makes their defense the 6^th-worst in the league. That’s really strange because last season, they had the best defensive team, with an average of just 16.2 points allowed.

Cleveland Browns Aren’t as Bad as Their 2024 Record Suggests

The Browns lost each of their last five games, but in four of those games, they lost by no more than 7 points. In their most recent outing, their AFC North rivals, the Bengals, beat them 21:14.

The final score actually isn’t as important as other things that happened that evening. Let’s start with bad news – the Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury.

This doesn’t necessarily mean a disaster for the Browns as 2024 was a very poor season for the guy. In fact, some Browns fans were spotted cheering Watson’s injury.

His replacement in the Week 8 game against the Ravens is likely to be Jameis Wilson, who, despite spending limited time only on the field last weekend, managed to get himself a passing TD.

Now, here’s the real good news for the Browns – their star running back Nick Chubb is back. After missing almost the entire 2023 season, as well as the first seven game weeks of the 2024 NFL, Chubb made his return last weekend. The best thing is that he scored a rushing TD upon his return.

The Browns are without QB Watson, but RB Chubb is back and is hungry for success. This might not be enough to beat the Ravens, but we do think the Browns will give them war. In the end, they shouldn’t lose by more than 10 points.
