Should Bryce Mitchell’s UFC 310 Odds Be That Short?
Bryce Mitchell is 16-2 overall, with 9 wins by submission and seven by decision. He has no wins by knockout/technical knockout, which shows he’s not much of a boxer. Mitchell’s strength lies in his grappling skills, particularly his ability to execute submissions on the ground.
Another piece of evidence is that on his most recent trip to Vegas, Josh Emmett demolished his chin in Round 1. It was the kind of KO that fighters don’t often recover. Does he now have a “glass jaw?

We do, but we also don’t think he’s planning to box against Kron Gracie. Instead, he’ll probably aim for a grappling duel. But will this work out for him?
Even though Mitchell is one of the finest grapplers in the UFC, he’s now locking horns against a member of the Gracie dynasty. In fact, Kron’s ancestors – brothers Helio, Gastao Jr., Carlos, and Oswaldo Gracie – were the ones who invented Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Kron Gracie’s Big Comeback
The main reason why Kron Gracie’s odds are +400 is that he hasn’t won a single fight since 2019. He’s 5-2 overall in professional MMA, coming to Vegas after two losses in a row.
The most recent of those happened against Charles Jourdain in 2023. Before that, he hadn’t fought for almost four years after losing to Cub Swanson.

On the bright side for him, both of those losses happened by decision. In both of those, he got beaten up by his opponents but still managed to survive until the final bell. His boxing skills didn’t look great in those fights, but he might be better now, striking-wise.
The thing is that while preparing for the UFC 310 clash with Mitchell, he’s been coached by legendary Nate Diaz, who’s famous for his boxing ability.
Bryce Mitchell vs. Kron Gracie UFC 310 Prediction
Bryce Mitchell isn’t a great boxer, and he probably won’t be able to out-strike Kron Gracie, who’s been coached by Nate Diaz. Mitchell’s strongest weapon is grappling, but we doubt he can beat a member of the Gracie family by submission.
In fact, Kron is without a single loss by submission in MMA, while in his 40 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu matches, he lost only three times by this method. The last time it happened was back in 2012 when he lost to Marcus Buchecha, who’s a 4th-degree BJJ black belt.
For all these reasons, we do think Kron can stage an upset.
Pick: Kron Gracie
