Caesars is happy to be introducing the Horseshoe Online Casino, which is essentially allowing the company to run two iGaming operations focused on games of chance in the Great Lakes States.
WynnBET Bows Out to Make Room for Horseshoe Online Casino
Securing the skin from WynnBET earlier this year in February and finalizing the deal in June, the company has been working to prepare the rollout of the new online casino which has finally arrived this week. The rollout is conducted in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
This is the end for WynnBET’s operations in Michigan after the company confirmed that it will be withdrawing from a number of states. At the same time, Caesars has reached the maximum allowable online casino skins by law per company.
These changes further consolidate Caesars’ standing in the local iGaming market, with online casinos proving an important source of revenue, and paving the way for operational business sustainability.
Although the announcement is fairly small, Caesars expects the Horseshoe Casino to have a big splash on the local market and further consolidate the company’s iGaming operations.
The Horseshoe Online Casino launch has been talked up a lot, with President of Caesars Sports Online Gaming Eric Heisson arguing that Horseshoe is a brand that will build up rapidly in the market and try to catch up to the already established Caesars casino.
Caesars Palace MI Online Casino is already bringing in some $11.4 million a month, based on the most recently published results for August, but the company is confident that Horseshoe can get at least half of that on its own, without cannibalizing the market of its sister brand. This remains to be seen.
