Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles odds suggest the home team will win the Week 6 game at Lincoln Financial Field. To see what we predict will happen on Sunday, October 13, just keep reading this betting preview

Neither the Cleveland Browns nor the Philadelphia Eagles can be proud of their 2024 NFL performances. The Browns are 1-4 this season, while the Eagles are 2-2. They had a bye last week, meaning that they’ve had more time to prepare for the Week 6 game. This explains why NFL odds are heavily in their favor. However, the Browns need to go all-in on Sunday as time is ticking away from them.

Cleveland Browns Really Need to Up Their Game

The Browns have won only one game so far, which is embarrassing given that their 2024 roster isn’t bad at all. They’ve got a quarterback that was supposed to take them to the next level. The man in question is Deshaun Watson, who’s got one of the most lucrative contracts in the NFL, but who hasn’t proved (yet) that he’s worth it.

Last weekend, he was dreadful against one of the NFL’s worst defenses. He went 15/28 for just 125 yards and only one touchdown against the Washington Commanders, who are conceding 23.0 points per game – their average was far worse before that game.

Deshaun Watson isn’t the only Cleveland player who’s been disappointing the fans. Last season’s Pro Bowlers Amari Cooper (wide receiver) and David Njoku (tight end) have also been out of form. The worst thing is that their defense hasn’t been great either, especially given that they’ve got players like Myles Garrett (defensive end) on the roster.

On the bright side for the Browns, these guys definitely have the potential to do much, much better. The only question is when they will click. Will it be in the Browns vs. Eagles Week 6 game?

Philadelphia Eagles (More Than) Ready for Week 6

Before the start of the 2024 NFL season, Philadelphia’s quarterback Jalen Hurts was ranked 10th in the Fox Sports Power Rankings. However, he hasn’t done much so far, throwing for four TDs in four games, as well as scoring two rushing touchdowns. Not too bad, but also not amazing, and the result is that his team is 2-2 now.

But oddsmakers think the Eagles will improve their record this coming Sunday. Considering that their bye was last weekend, they’ve had plenty of time to prepare for Week 6. Plus, the game is played on their turf.

On top of everything, their strongest weapon is running, which seems to be something the Browns can’t handle in 2024. Apart from QB Hurts who’s a great runner, the Eagles also have a fantastic running back in Saquon Barkley, who’s already scored four touchdowns.

Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction

Things are far from great in the Browns locker room after a couple of embarrassing performances. That’s something the Eagles need to take advantage of. They need to take this game seriously and get themselves their third win of the 2024 NFL.

Still, given that they will probably focus on their running game, we might not see them score too many points. At least not enough to cover the huge 8.5-point spread.

Pick: Cleveland Browns +8.5
