ComeOn Group, a leading global player in the rapidly growing iGaming market, announced that it has enhanced its product lineup in Ontario by launching an online sportsbook. The launch highlights the company’s desire to grow its business in the coming years.
ComeOn Group Expands Its Betting Business
ComeOn Group called the addition of a sportsbook to its offering in Ontario a “significant milestone” in its overall sportsbook expansion journey. In its official announcement, the company clarified that the launch follows the successful acquisition of the required permits, allowing it to engage local sports fans with safe and legal products.
ComeOn Group, which is one of Ontario’s 51 licensed online operators, hopes to significantly grow its sportsbook operations and double its sportsbook business in the coming years. To that end, the company has been investing hard in its sports betting suite.
The company’s sportsbook business is underpinned by a proprietary sportsbook platform, as well as an in-house management and trading team. The investment in sports betting aligns with the group’s overall multi-product strategy and its ambition to appeal to a broader customer base.
Ontario has been a key region for the company because of its huge potential. Since launching legal online gaming a few years ago, the Canadian province has experienced unparalleled market growth, with iGaming revenue reaching CAD 6.7 billion in 2023. This figure is expected to increase by 20% in 2024.
The Next Goal Is to Deliver Top-Tier Entertainment
Juergen Reutter, ComeOn Group’s chief executive officer, commented on the launch, celebrating the possibilities it opens for the company. As a casino-led operator, ComeOn Group believes that doubling down on its sports wagering business will diversify its portfolio and expand its reach.
Reutter reiterated that the launch aligns with the company’s strategy to double its sports betting operations within the next few years.
Like in any of our other markets, we are striving for a differentiated sportsbook entertainment experience that is powered by our in-house technology. Our goal is to deliver top-tier entertainment to our players while fostering safe and innovative gaming experiences.
Juergen Reutter, CEO, ComeOn Group
Earlier this year, ComeON Group enhanced its team with the appointment of Nicholas Jones as its new head of trading and Owen Parry as the new head of customer engagement.
