Corey Anderson’s Third Attempt at Becoming Bellator Champ
Corey Anderson (17-6-1) is a former UFC fighter who had decent success in this promotion. Some of his biggest UFC wins include those over Glover Teixeira, Ilir Latifi, and Johnny Walker.
He moved to Bellator in 2020, and since, he’s 4-1-1. The only two Bellator fights he didn’t win were fights for the title against Vadim Nemkov.
The first of those was a real battle that lasted for just under 15 minutes after the referee ended it due to an accidental clash of heads that hurt Nemkov. In the rematch, the Russian fighter beat Anderson by unanimous decision after 25 minutes of real war.
Since losing the title fight, he fought once, beating Phil Davis by split decision. Fast-forward to March 22 and he’s fighting for the title again. This time, he’s taking on a Northern Irish fighter in the middle of Northern Ireland.
Can Home Crowd Push Karl Moore to Victory at Bellator 302?
Karl Moore (12-2) is a former Cage Warriors Light Heavyweight champ who even challenged for the Heavyweight title in this promotion. It was 2019 when he moved from CW to Bellator and is 4-0 since.
What’s interesting is that three of his four Bellator fights happened in Dublin, Ireland, where the crowd was on his side. You can be 100% certain that he’ll have fan support in Northern Ireland as well as this is his home country.
But will this help him beat Anderson? Well, he’s never won against an opponent of such a reputation. The most high-profile fighter he’s fought so far is Paul Craig, but it happened years before Bear Jew joined the UFC.
Corey Anderson vs. Karl Moore Prediction
Corey Anderson is levels above Karl More in terms of fighting skills. He also has way more experience, as well as a big motivation to win on Friday. Anderson’s last two title attempts failed, but he’s determined to win it on his third attempt.
