Cybersecurity Summit Coming to Florida on February 26-28
The fifth edition of the annual Cybersecurity Summit brings stakeholders to a new location in Florida to discuss some of the challenges the industry faces

The Cybersecurity Summit will celebrate its fifth anniversary with its first in-person edition, as industry experts converge on Miami Florida to attend the gathering hosted by TribalHub.
Cybersecurity Summit Sets to Tackle Tribal Gaming Security Problems
The Cybersecurity Summit is taking place on February 26-28 and will reunite top cybersecurity experts and fellow leaders with tribal gaming representatives who have been under increasing pressure to address the challenges of digital threats.
The gathering will seek to examine the cybersecurity challenges posed by bad actors following months of intensified targeting of digital infrastructure and against tribal gaming operators specifically.
Deficiencies in the current framework have become apparent and have made it apparent that a stronger response from the sector is needed and quickly.
Mike Day, TribalHub’s CEO and board member of Tribal-ISAC, has said that it is imperative to achieve the event’s core mission, which is to foster collaboration, share insights, and build a stronger and more resilient tribal enterprise, especially where digital security is concerned.
“As we mark the fifth-annual Summit, we remain committed to empowering leaders and IT professionals working at tribal governments, casinos, enterprises, and health facilities with the tools and knowledge to defend against ever-evolving cyber threats,” Day said.
Day is not the only computer expert who believes in the necessity for sterner action. He is joined by the likes of Mystic Lake Casino Hotel director of Cybersecurity Lee Edberg was similarly excited about the upcoming event and its broader implications on the tribal community.
Tribal Operators Need to Know about the Cybersecurity Resources Available
“Today, leaders working in tribal government, gaming and health must understand cyber threats and how cybersecurity mitigates these risks” Edberg noted. Day added that at least 40% of tribal operators do not have a cyber resource, or otherwise the means to protect themselves when it comes to these unique new challenges posed to them by criminal organizations.
To change the Cybersecurity Summit will seek to raise awareness for the currently available resources, and help connect tribal actors with the necessary infrastructure to make an impactful and positive change.
