Different festive events helped raise money for the nonprofit organization while also finding a new home for three dogs

The popular casino that offers live thoroughbred racing, Delaware Park Casino, located near Wilmington, Delaware, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting non-profit organizations after raising $12,000 for Faithful Friends Animal Society, a private nonprofit animal-welfare organization.
A Variety of Events Help Raise Awareness
Back in August, the casino operator rolled out a month-long campaign to benefit the animal welfare nonprofit organization. This campaign culminated with the first-ever “Bark at Del’Park” event. The exciting celebration included a range of events such as a hot dog-themed food bar, a fun-filled 30-yard Dog Dash held on the racetrack between the live horse racing action, as well as an adoption drive.
During the Bark at Del’Park, $2,000 was raised, helping the total donation for Faithful Friends Animal Society reach $12,000. In addition, the adoption event saw three dogs find “furever” home.
The month-long campaign to raise money kicked off in August. For the duration of the event, Delaware Park Casino visitors had the option to donate to the nonprofit organization. The campaign also sought to raise awareness of the nonprofit organization’s important goal to find homes for animals.
Besides the success of the recent campaign, Delaware Park Casino anticipates organizing additional events with similar noble goals. On October 18, the popular gaming and entertainment destination will organize an open-to-the-public Halloween-themed blood drive. The exciting event is expected to benefit the Blood Bank of Delaware.
The Gaming and Entertainment Destination Is Proud to Support the Local Community
