Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint Denis UFC 299 Odds, Time, and Prediction
Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint Denis is the co-main event of UFC 299, which is taking place at Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday, March 9, 2024

Even though Dustin Poirier is a real legend of the UFC Lightweight Division, he’s seen as the betting underdog against Benoit Saint-Denis in the UFC 299 co-main event. The former French commando is a fantastic fighter who’s won his last five fights by a finish, The Diamond looks like someone who can upset the odds.
Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint Denis Odds

Dustin Poirier | +185 |
Benoit Saint Denis | -220 |
When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida
- Date: Saturday, March 9, 2024
- Time: 10:00 p.m. ET
- How to Watch: PPV
Dustin Poirier Determined to Get Back into the Spotlight
Dustin Poirier lost two of his last three fights, but this guy is still one of the best lightweights in the world. His record is 29-8-1, with most of his losses happening to who’s who of the 155lb division – Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and so on.
When it comes to his wins, he’s got some impressive victories against real MMA legends, including Conor McGregor (twice), Max Holloway, Eddie Alvarez, and others.
His last win happened against Michael Chandler in a fight that saw Poirier win by submission for the eighth time in his career. Still, his favorite method to finish fights is knockout. Almost 50% of his wins happened by this method.
Benoit Saint Denis Looking for 6th Straight Finish
Benoit Saint Denis is 13-1-1 overall with a 5-1 record in the UFC. He lost to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos on his UFC debut, which was a welterweight bout that lasted for 15 minutes. Since then, however, the former French spec-ops operative has been unstoppable.
He defeated five opponents since moving to the UFC Lightweight Division, each time winning inside the distance. Two of those happened by his favorite method – submission – while the other three saw him win by KO/TKO.
It’s an incredible success, but there’s a caveat. BSD has never fought such a good fighter as Poirier. This is going to be the first time that he’s fighting a ranked opponent.
Dustin Poirier vs. Benoit Saint Denis Prediction
This is the biggest fight in Saint Denis’ career, so you can be certain that he’s going to go all-in on Saturday. However, skills-wise, we think Poirier has an advantage. He also has way more experience fighting at an elite level, which makes him ideal to stop BSD.
We suspect Poirier is going to fight smart on Saturday, possibly looking to land just enough strikes and takedowns to win the fight by points.
Pick: Dustin Poirier
