FanDuel is keen to secure market presence and expand its brand visibility locally as North Carolina is one of the youngest sports betting states which is only going to launch on Monday, March 11, leaving a lot of build-up wiggle room for companies to explore, and just in time for March Madness.
FanDuel and the Carolina Panthers Ready to Storm the NC Betting Market
FanDuel has not hesitated to pounce at the opportunity and has committed to the new multi-year tie-up that will see the company promoted as the Official Sports Betting Partner for the Charlotte team.
The partnership is expected to bring mutual benefits, with FanDuel striking home with fan bases while the Carolina Panthers may garner bigger exposure with consumers all over the country, owing to FanDuel’s solid presence nationwide.
As is customary for such partnerships, FanDuel will leverage the North Carolina sports betting team logo and imagery, along with other assets, across its own social media and digital channels to ensure that it delivers, but also engages with fans or even beckons to new ones. Meanwhile, the Panthers are reciprocating in kind by running FanDuel signage across LED screens at Bank of America Stadium, their home arena.
FanDuel is also sending their all-star team to make sure that the hype for the market launch and the opportunity to bet on the Panthers builds up. For example, today FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams will be hosted out of the Bank of America Stadium. Needless to say, everyone has been very happy with current developments.
America’s Leading Sportsbook Wants to Send a Message
FanDuel CCO Mike Raffensperger has hailed the current developments as an important opportunity and moment for the company and its presence in North Carolina. Raffensperger didn’t miss the chance to point out that “America’s #1 Sportsbook” was keen to continue building up a sound product for fans in every market.
The reference to “#1 Sportsbook” comes shortly after FanDuel was named as the leading sportsbook brand in a recent report by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming and has seemingly overtaken DraftKings by a small margin. In the meantime, Carolina Panthers president Kristi Coleman was similarly excited to see the sportsbook become an Official Sports Betting Partner.
“As we look ahead to the 2024 season, we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership presents to deliver unique and engaging experiences to our fans while they are in North Carolina,” he explained, looking forward to the upcoming launch. In the meantime, some companies, including Underdog Fantasy, stopped offering their daily fantasy sports products in the state, seeking to capitalize on real money gambling instead.
