Florida Gators Seen as Favorites With Final Four Odds of -149

The Gators are the No. 1 team in the West, who won the West Regional Final last weekend by beating the Texas Tech Red Raiders 84:79. Oddsmakers thought they were going to have an even easier job, but we knew it wasn’t going to be a walk in the park for the Gators.

Unsurprisingly, Walter Clayton Jr. was the Most Outstanding Player (MOP), with 30 points and four assists in the Regional Final. The senior guard has been brilliant throughout the season, along with Alijah Martin and Will Richard.

Thanks to these guys, Florida’s been a real offensive powerhouse in the 2025 March Madness. They’re currently third in the nation in points per game with 85.4, but they can easily get to the No. 1 spot as the top two teams have already been eliminated.

Can Auburn Upset the Odds on April 6?

Despite Auburn being the top overall seed, betting markets have shown a preference for Florida. One of the main reasons is that the Tigers haven’t been too impressive on the offense.

In the four games of the South Regional, they scored a total of 313, which accounts for 78.25. Not too bad, you might think, but the thing is that in their last two games, they scored 78 and 70 points.

On the bright side, their defense has been sensational. They conceded no more than 70 points so far in the 2025 March Madness. Their defensive average is just 65.5 points conceded per game.

They excel at contesting shots, limiting opponents to under 40% shooting from the field. That said, if they can limit Florida’s three-point efficiency on Saturday, they will stand a good chance of advancing to the National Championship Game.

Florida vs. Auburn Prediction

The Gators vs. Tigers is a clash between one of the best offenses and one of the best defenses in the NCAA. Bookies expect Florida to win, but we think Auburn has what it takes to stage an upset.

We predict that they’ll do well defensively, and if Johni Broome and other Auburn high-scoring guys put on a good show, the Tigers will win comfortably.
