Former AGA SVP Sara Slane Joins Kalshi
Sara Slane, who once played a role in the repeal of the PASPA, admitted that she had never seen a company in a “stage of explosive growth like Kalshi”

Sara Slane, a former American Gaming Association (AGA) member announced that she will be joining Kalshi, a fast-growing platform that offers contracts on the outcomes of sports. Slane, who once played a key role in the overturning of the PASPA, will serve the prediction market as its new head of corporate development.
Slane Is Excited to Join the Kalshi Team
In a post on LinkedIn, Slane confirmed that she is joining the Kalshi team, expanding her involvement in the sports industry. She expressed excitement about joining the Kalshi family and vowed to bolster the company’s explosive growth.
Slane, who formerly served as senior vice president of the AGA, has also previously worked for the gaming and hospitality giant MGM Resorts International as vice president of regional government affairs.
After exiting the AGA in 2019, Slane founded her own consultancy, Slane Advisory. Because of that, she thought that she was never again going to work for anyone but herself, at least until she found Kalshi.
Slane started consulting for Kalshi a few months ago and was impressed by the company’s vision, outlier founders and deep commitment to regulatory compliance. She also highlighted the company’s “astronomic growth” which has turned it into a leader in its respective space.
She also liked Kalshi’s long-term ambitions and the company’s desire to “build something enduring.”
Slane Was Impressed with Kalshi
In her post, Slane admitted that she had never seen a company in a “stage of explosive growth like Kalshi.” She applauded the company for creating outstanding fan experiences just a few months after adding sports to the platform. Not only that, but Kalshi has succeeded in creating a product that rivals the pricing and risk management of many older companies.
I’m joining as Head of Corporate Development to help handle some of that integration demand. There’s palpable industry excitement about the benefits prediction markets can provide, and I’m thrilled to be working towards a future where all of the operators have prediction markets as part of their product.

Kalshi Unfazed by Cease-and-Desist Orders
In other news, Kalshi’s founder Tarek Mansour, just addressed the cease-and-desist orders the company has received in several states. He admitted that he wasn’t all that concerned about the orders since his company is under the jurisdiction of the CFTC and not state gambling regulators.
Mansour suggested that the orders had been prompted by casino lobbyists who were not happy about the new format’s growth.
