Gervonta Davis Ready for His 30th Career Win

Gervonta Davis is 29-0 overall in his professional boxing career, which started in 2013. Even though he’s fought so many times, he’s still relatively young for a pugilist. Tank is turning 30 later this year.

The real reason why his boxing portfolio is so impressive is that he defeated many superstars already, the best example being Ryan Garcia. He beat him by a knockout last year.

It was his 27th win by this method, which makes his knockout-to-win ratio one of the biggest in professional boxing in 2024. His KO/TKO percentage is 93.10%.

Knowing this, it’s only logical to assume that he’s gonna do the same at MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 15. But maybe there’s a way Frank Martin can upset the odds?

Can Frank Martin Stage an Upset?

Frank Martin a.k.a. The Ghost is 18-0 overall, with 12 of those wins happening by KO/TKO. Even though he’s never fought against such a tough opponent as Gervonta Davis, he did beat some pretty decent boxers.

The best example is his unanimous decision win over the 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Artem Harutyunyan who was 11-0 before that bout. He beat him in the summer of 2023, which is actually Martin’s most recent fight.

Despite losing that bout, Harutyunyan will still get a shot at the WBC Lightweight title which is currently in possession of Shakur Stevenson. This fact shows how respected the Armenian-German athlete is in the boxing world.

Martin also defeated Michael Rivera, a former IBF–USBA lightweight and WBC Continental Americas lightweight. He did it by unanimous decision as well.

Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin Prediction

It’s no surprise that Gervonta Davis is seen as a huge favorite to win the June 15 bout, but we don’t think he’s going to have an easy job. Frank Martin knows he’s a huge underdog, which is why he’ll probably fight carefully, making sure he doesn’t get KO-ed quickly. His goal for this fight is to go the distance and we suspect he might pull it off.

Pick: Gervonta Davis by decision
