Gaming tech & content leader International Game Technology (IGT) has won a $5.3 million tender to supply its cutting-edge gaming equipment to LET Group Holdings’ new casino project in Manila. The former company’s experience and rich suite of products were major factors in the successful tender.

The Supplier Will Empower the New Casino

As per the deal, IGT will provide gaming equipment to LET Group’s latest project in the Philippine capital. Set to open in 2025, the Westside City casino hotel will be operated by Suntrust Resort Holdings, one of LET Group Holdings’ sub-brands.

Formerly owned by the controversial casino mogul Alvin Chau, LET Group is a Macanese gaming firm that continues to spread its influence across Asia. Its Suntrust brand will serve as the exclusive operator and manager of the Westside City property, which will attract tourists to Manila’s Entertainment City area.

IGT will supply the Suntrust-operated casino with equipment, software and services. In addition, the company will deploy its casino management system across the property and supply it with mobile casino management software and specialty software.

Speaking of software, IGT will also roll out its table manager software, cashless gaming solutions and tournament system software at the Westside City casino. The world-class provider will also empower the property with consulting services.

IGT’s Experience Helped it Win the Tender

In a filing, LET Group confirmed that IGT’s substantial experience and top-notch functionalities were among the reasons it won the tender. LET also cited IGT’s track record of successful gaming equipment implementations across the Philippines and other nearby jurisdictions, such as Macau, Vietnam and Australia.

The casino company noted that the provider’s tender was the second lowest among five bidders in total. It also emphasized IGT’s robust compliance standards, which have ensured its products do not violate local regulations.
