The Pacers Coming to Milwaukee to Try and Outscore the Bucks
In the regular season of the 2023-24 NBA, the Indiana Pacers were the highest-scoring team in the league. Their average was 123.1 points per game. Their brilliant offense helped them finish the regular season with a 47-35 record, which was enough to book a direct ticket to the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
What’s interesting about the Pacers in 2024 is that they work very well as a team. Instead of having one superstar around which everything revolves, they’ve got a number of talented players of pretty much the same quality.
Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton are Indiana’s best scorers, each with a PPG of over 20.0. In addition to those two, there are another five players on the Packers’ roster with a PPG of over 10.0.
The Milwaukee Bucks Putting Their Hopes in Giannis
While Indiana works great as a collective, Milwaukee is more of a one-man army. And the man leading this army is Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek power forward is the NBA’s second-best scorer with a PPG of 30.4.
Calf strain for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Wolves saw this last year. Hope it’s minor 🙏

He missed his team’s last three games with a calf injury but is expected to make his comeback on Sunday evening against the Pacers. If he doesn’t return, his team might end up in a problem. The Bucks just don’t do great when he’s not around. In fact, in the eight games he missed in the regular season, they went 4-4.
However, only one of those four losses happened at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. It happened against the Toronto Raptors earlier this month when it was already clear that the Bucks were almost certainly going to make the postseason.
Indiana Pacers vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction
The Pacers vs. Bucks odds suggest we’ll witness a really close game on Sunday. We can only agree with oddsmakers – our prediction is that the game result will be decided by only a couple of points.
However, unlike bookies, who are giving a slight advantage to Indiana, we think Milwaukee is going to win Game 1. Of course, we’re not 100% positive it will happen, which is why our top pick is Bucks +1.5 at -110.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks +1.5
