MLS Odds Favor Inter Miami

Inter Miami are 4-1-0 in the 2025 MLS, with four league wins in a row. In their most recent game, they defeated Philadelphia Union 2:1, with goals by Robert Taylor and Lionel Messi.

Taylor was crowned the Man of the Match, but Messi could’ve easily won that award had he spent more minutes on the field. He didn’t start the game – due to fitness issues – and came on the pitch in the 55th minute as Taylor’s replacement.

We predict that Messi won’t start on Thursday either. First of all, it’s because Inter Miami play against LAFC in the CONCACAF Champions Cup just four days earlier. Secondly, the Herons don’t really need him on the field against such a weak opponent as Toronto FC.

Toronto FC’s Struggles Continue

Toronto FC is one of the worst teams in the 2025 MLS. The boys from Canada are 0-2-4 with a score difference of 2:10. In comparison, Inter Miami’s score difference is 11:5.

While Toronto’s roster does have some big names, like former Serie A stars, Federico Bernardeschi and Lorenzo Insigne, they just haven’t been great.

Plus, a couple of Toronto’s key men from midfield and defense are out with injuries. Defensive midfielder Matthew Longstaff, for example, will probably miss the Miami vs. Toronto game with an ankle injury. On top of that, center-back Kevin Long is also expected to miss the clash in Florida with a leg injury.

Inter Miami vs. Toronto FC Prediction

We’re almost 100% certain that Inter Miami will win this game. The Herons are a much, much better team than Toronto FC, not to mention that the April 6 game is played in Florida.

Given Toronto’s defensive struggles – and injury problems of key players – we also predict that Inter Miami will score at least a couple of goals. And if Messi plays, we’ll see goals galore.

Pick: Inter Miami & Over 2.5 Goals
