After recently Elon Musk reaffirmed his support for Donald Trump by revealing a plan for sweepstakes that would award $1 million to supporters, another celebrity showed his support but this time for Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. The late-night TV host and popular media personality, Jimmy Kimmel, recently leveraged his celebrity status to convince Nevadans to vote for the Democrats in the upcoming election.

A Nickel Tip

As announced by Nevadan News, Kimmel recently participated in a meeting with the Culinary Union Local 226 in Las Vegas. Speaking to likely voters, volunteers and union members, the popular night talk show host told an interesting story regarding his father, who used to work for Donald Trump’s father, Fred Trump.

Kimmel revealed that while his father was still living in Brooklyn, New York, he used to work as a waiter at a Fred Trump-owned building. The celebrity talk show host remembered that his father told him that he served breakfast to Fred Trump every morning. Kimmel added: “And every morning Fred Trump gave my father a tip of five cents.” Moreover, he continued: “Five cents for the guy who could spit at his eggs every morning if he wanted to.”

Republicans Are Not on Your Side

Kimmel acknowledged that his family moved from Brooklyn to Las Vegas, revealing that he grew up in Sin City and attended different high schools. As a Las Vegas native, he said he knows what it’s like to live in the city.

When it comes to the interesting story about his father and Trump’s father, Kimmel admitted that this is the first time he has told that story. Speaking about the Republicans and referring to Donald Trump and Sam Brown in particular, the late-night show host said that they are not on the side of voters.

So, when these people, Donald Trump and Sam Brown, tell you that they are on your side and they care about you, remember that. They are not on your side,

said Jimmy Kimmel

So far, the video from the meeting, which was uploaded on TikTok, has more than 31,000 views and 4,147 likes.

Ultimately, the outcome of the presidential election will likely be determined by voters in key swing states, with the list including Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan and North Carolina, among others. In light of the race, a political action committee by Elon Musk, America PAC, caught the attention of the Philadelphia District Attorney who filed a lawsuit that seeks to block the PAC’s plan to award $1 million to supporters of a petition.
