Kansas City Chiefs Look Unstoppable in 2024
The winners of the last two Super Bowls started the 2024 NFL season in top gear, winning the first five games before their bye week. With an extra week to prepare for the Week 7 game, it’s no surprise they’re favored to win on October 20.
These guys have looked great since the beginning of the season, especially defensively. These guys have been conceding just 17.0 points per game on average.
With Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback, their offense has been good as always, scoring a total of 118 so far. Mahomes threw for six TDs in those five games, gaining 1,235 yards for his teams with his passing.
However, his playing style has been somewhat risky, the evidence being that six of his passes got intercepted. Further, he got sacked on nine occasions, which shows that the Chiefs’ offensive line needs to up their game.
The explanation for this is that several of their offensive linesmen were struggling with injuries. The good news is that four of the five starters are back in Week 7.
San Francisco 49ers Going All-In on Sunday
The Niners are 3-3 in the 2024 season, which isn’t great. However, they won their most recent game in a dominant manner. They beat the Seattle Seahawks on the road 36:24. It was the TNF game of Week 6, meaning that they too had a few extra days to prepare for the next game week.
But that’s not the only good news for their fans. The thing is that their superstar running back Christian McCaffrey could return in Week 7. Their offense is already scary, scoring 27.0 points per game, and with CMC on the field, they’re almost certainly going to be even better. But even if he doesn’t the 49erse still has every right to feel good about their chances in Week 7.
The bad news is that their defense hasn’t been as great with 21.7 points conceded per game. However, the most they’ve conceded per game is just 27 points. It happened against the Rams on the road. At home, they’re 1-2, with their only loss happening to huge underdogs, the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. Still, it was a very close game, with the Cards winning by just one point.
