Levey Joins the Ladbrokes Family
The partnership was announced on Ladbrokes’ official X account, with the company welcoming Levey on board.
We’re thrilled to announce leading flat jockey Sean Levey as our newest Ladbrokes ambassador. Welcome to the family, Sean.
Ladbrokes statement
Levey was born in Eswatini and later moved to England to pursue his racing dreams. He inherited his passion for horses and racing from his father, who served an apprenticeship when he was younger. Levey “caught the bug” later in his life, starting out in Aiden O’Brien’s and serving half of his apprenticeship there. Levey, who eventually moved to England, acknowledged that he has had a “very privileged” start to his career.
Levey is known as the winner of the 2018 1000 Guineas on Billesdon Brook – a victory that he calls the peak of his career so far. Another horse he remembers fondly is Rosallion, on which he won two Group Ones in 2024.
Levey had an impressive 2024 run, walking away with three Group One winners.
Levey’s Whole Life Has Revolved Around Horses
Levey admitted that a big part of his life has revolved around horses. With a horseman’s background, he feels that he’s always been very successful on horses. He added that he dreams of finding a horse that becomes a household name.
I think my biggest one is always wanting to have that horse that becomes a household name. You know, the horse that everyone remembers and then, obviously, remembers you to have ridden it. I’m hoping I found that horse – that will be the kind of thing I would like to retire on.

Levey added that he is looking forward to joining Ladbrokes in what is shaping up to be another exciting season for him. He added: “I have some top-class racehorses to ride this term, so hopefully Ladbrokes customers will be able to cheer me on to some big race success this year.”
Levey Will Create Exclusive Content for the Sportsbook
Under his deal with Ladbrokes, Levey will provide the sportsbook with exclusive insights on his participation in major races throughout the season. These will include both blogs and video content, in which the racing professional will share some of his thoughts and analysis.
Additional content will see Levey comment on his overall experience as a flat jockey. His imagery will also appear across Ladbrokes’ promotional materials.
Ladbrokes’ head of PR, Alex Apati, also commented on the appointment, calling Levey an “amazing jockey” whose performances Ladbrokes is looking forward to seeing. Apati said: “We look forward to him giving racing fans the inside track on his rides and his life as a jockey throughout the season.”
