LAFC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy 2023 MLS Odds, Time, and Prediction
It’s time for El Trafico! The LAFC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy MLS game will take place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 16.

Even though LAFC is sitting much higher in the Western Conference Standings than its city rival, the reigning MLS champ isn’t in great form. This team is 0-0-3 in the last three games while Galaxy is undefeated since July. Nevertheless, bookies see LAFC as a minus-money favorite to win Saturday’s El Trafico.

LAFC Hoping to End Its Losing Streak
Los Angeles FC is 11-7-9 this season, and with 40 points, the winners of last season’s MLS Cup are sitting in the No. 3 position. Steve Cherundolo’s men don’t have to worry too much about getting to the playoffs, but there are some reasons for concern. The biggest one is that they’ve lost three games in a row.
To be fair to them, they did play against Inter Miami and Charlotte FC in two of those. They also lost to the Portland Timbers, but in that game, they were without five of their first-team players who were away on international duty. Among those was Denis Bouanga, a Gabonese striker who’s fifth on the top scorers list in the 2023 MLS.
LA Galaxy Is Desperate for Points
Los Angeles Galaxy is second from the bottom in the Western Conference. Greg Vanney’s boys are 7-9-10 with 30 points. That’s just four fewer than the closest team from the top 9, meaning that they still have a decent chance of getting to the postseason.
But for that to happen, they need to continue playing well. Their recent form has been pretty good. Since the Leagues Cup break, they are 2-2-0 with an 8-4 score difference. In their recent game, they drew 2-2 with St. Louis City which had a 2-0 lead at halftime. Truth be told, the visitors from Missouri played with 10 men for most of the second half.
LAFC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy Prediction
The fact is that Los Angeles FC is a better team than Galaxy. They’ve got some amazing players on the roster, particularly in the attacking department. Plus, you can be certain that they’re going to take this game seriously as this is their opportunity to put an end to their losing streak.
Pick: Los Angeles FC to win & over 2.5 goals
