Lazio vs. Roma Serie A Odds, Time, and Prediction
Lazio vs. Roma a.k.a. Derby della Capitale or the Rome Derby is one of the biggest soccer rivalries in the world. The 185th edition of this fixture is on the program on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Stadio Olimpico in Italy’s capital

The Lazio vs. Roma Serie A game on Sunday is super-important for both sides for several reasons. First of all, both teams from Rome are competing for a place in the Top 6 – the zone that takes you to one of the European competitions next season.
Lazio currently occupies the No. 6 spot, but AS Roma is just behind with only two points fewer. What this means is that with a win on Sunday, Roma would leapfrog Lazio.
Another reason why this clash is important is that if the two end on level points at the end of the 2024-25 Serie A, their head-to-head record will be the tiebreaker. Roma won their first duel 2:0, so it’s now up to Lazio to try and do even better.

Lazio Doing Great in Big Games in 2025
Let’s face it, Lazio is no longer a powerhouse it was just a few seasons ago. This team’s roster is rebuilding, which is why no one can blame these guys for being in the No. 6 spot right now.
✅ 🇮🇹 To secure the 2025/26 Champions League by finishing Top 4 in Serie A:
— Football Rankings (@FootRankings) April 7, 2025
🇮🇹 Inter – 100%
🇮🇹 Napoli – 100%
🇮🇹 Atalanta – 82%
🇮🇹 Juventus – 71%
🇮🇹 Lazio – 19%
🇮🇹 Bologna – 18%
🇮🇹 Fiorentina – 7%
🇮🇹 AS Roma – 3% pic.twitter.com/y9TsCoiKFG
Actually, that’s a pretty decent achievement for the Sky Blues. Lazio’s biggest problem in 2025 has been their inability to maintain a good run. They tend to impress in big games only to get annihilated by mediocre teams.
For example, about a month ago, their undefeated run was ended by Bologna. Despite not being too big a favorite ahead of that game (+125), Bologna smashed Lazio 5:0.
However, Lazio showed up in games against big favorites, beating AC Milan 2:1 and Atalanta 1:0. Both of those wins were away from home.
AS Roma’s Only Focus Right Now is Serie A
Lazio are still in the Europa League; AS Roma are not. But they want to get back there next season, or, even better, qualify for the Champions League. For that to happen, they need to finish in the Top 4, which currently doesn’t seem very likely.
However, they have another seven games to play in the Italian Serie A, so getting in contention for a Champions League spot sure is possible. This goes especially if they continue to play well.
They’re undefeated in the Italian topflight since last year, with 10 wins and three draws in 2025. What needs to worry them slightly is that they haven’t been scoring much lately. In fact, they scored just one goal in each of their last four Serie A games.
On the bright side, their defense has been pretty decent. They kept a clean sheet in three of their last four league games. The only goal they conceded over this period was in their most recent game, in which they allowed a goal to Juventus.
Lazio vs. Roma Prediction
We think this is going to be a low-scoring game, but our prediction is that we’ll witness at least one goal in the Rome Derby on Sunday. Who will score that goal? We think it’s going to be one of AS Roma’s men, possibly Artem Dobvyk, who’s this team’s top scorer.
Pick: AS Roma
