LeoVegas Group Opens New In-House Slots Studio
LeoVegas Group has announced the launch of LeoVegas Studios, its brand-new in-house gaming studio aimed at creating innovative slot games

Global iGaming operator and market leader in mobile casino on the European market, LeoVegas Group, has announced the launch of LeoVegas Studios, its brand-new in-house slots development studio.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion plan which includes the creation of games that are exclusive to the group’s brands.
Leveraging Player Data for Game Development
Thanks to the new studio, LeoVegas can enjoy complete “technological freedom” while steadily strengthening its foothold in the sector.
LeoVegas Studio will harness player data to shape the design and development of its games.
According to the announcement, the studio’s ability to analyze player preferences will allow it to “create games that adapt to evolving player tastes while supporting broader customer acquisition strategies.”
LeoVegas Group’s director of gaming, James Ford, expressed excitement about the launch of the new studio which he called “a fantastic addition.”
Ford emphasized the added creative and technical autonomy that will position them to forge their own path and “develop exclusive, innovative games” that are aligned with their vision and meet players’ constantly changing needs.
By tailoring games to players’ specific preferences, LeoVegas Studios aims to stand out in a competitive market.
Light & Wonder’s former creative director, Mats Andersson, will lead LeoVegas Studios.
The game producer will bring his extensive industry experience to the table to enhance its creative offerings and deliver innovative gaming experiences.
First Slot Release Scheduled for September 25
LeoVegas Studios’ pioneering proprietary game, Where Pigeons Dare, is set to launch on September 25.
The medium volatility cluster-pay slot with wild modifiers, progressive multipliers, and buy bonuses is expected to be the first of four releases scheduled for 2024, with an additional six titles planned for 2025.
Ford explained the game was “just the beginning,” adding their “future lineup will continue to captivate and push the boundaries of entertainment.”
The games LeoVegas Studios will develop are expected to complement the current portfolio of intellectual property held by the group and MGM Resorts International, enhancing the entertainment experience for players.
Earlier in the year, LeoVegas appointed Adrian Vella as managing director of sports product after acquiring Tipico’s US technology platform.
As part of that deal, Tipico will wind down its US-based operations, while LeoVegas Group will acquire key figures from Tipico’s management, technical, and trading teams across the US, Europe, and Colombia.
This latest move positions LeoVegas Group as a stronger player in the iGaming sector, offering exclusive content and expanding its technological capabilities.
