Reasons Why LAFC is the Betting Favorite
LAFC is 2-1-3 this season with a score differential of 9-9. That’s far from impressive, but the season is still in its early stages. They have plenty of time to up their form, which is something they’re likely to do given that their roster is very strong in 2024.
They have some experienced players on the roster, most notably the 20118 FIFA World Cup-winning goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and last season’s MLS top scorer Denis Bouanga.
On top of that, LAFC has a couple of promising youngsters, including midfielder Mateusz Bogusz and defender Omar Campos. With such players in the squad, LAFC looks like a team that could challenge the MLS Cup this year.
Can Los Angeles Galaxy Stay Undefeated for Another Weekend?
Los Angeles Galaxy is sitting at the top of the Western Conference table with 12 points. These guys are 3-3-0 with a score difference of 13-9. Galaxy’s record in 2024 looks fantastic, but there’s a caveat – their schedule has been relatively easy so far.
In fact, the three teams they’ve defeated so far in the 2024 MLS are the Seattle Sounders, Sporting Kansas City, and San Jose Earthquakes. None of those teams has been very impressive this season.
The Sounders, for example, are the only team in the division that’s still without a single win. The Earthquakes are only slightly better with one win so far, while Sporting KC is 2-3-1 this season.
Los Angeles FC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy Prediction
Who’s going to win the Los Angeles Derby on Saturday? We think it’s going to be LAFC. This team is just way, way better than its arch-rival if you compare them player-for-player. Plus, LAFC’s players are eager to lift their form to the next level after a relatively slow start to the season.
