LAFC has an amazing roster in 2024, but these guys haven’t been showing it. After winning in the opening round, they are without a victory in the MLS with two losses and one draw.
It’s almost the opposite when it comes to Nashville SC, which is undefeated in the 2024 MLS. After three straight draws, this team won its first game of the season last weekend. Can they keep it going? Not if you’re asking bookies. They see LAFC as an odds-on favorite in the March 23 game.

Reasons Why LAFC is Expected to Win on Saturday Evening
Los Angeles FC has a very balanced squad in 2024, with some really great players in all areas on the field. The biggest addition to their roster is goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who joined during the offseason. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is 37, but that’s still young for a goalie, meaning that he’s probably going to have a great career in the MLS.
So far, however, he hasn’t been too impressive, and neither have his colleagues from the defense. The evidence of this is that LAFC has conceded six goals already. As if that wasn’t bad enough, LAFC’s offense has been disappointing as well.
This goes especially for Denis Bouanga, who was the league’s top scorer last season. LAFC has played four games of the 2024 MLS season already, but Bouanga is still without a single goal to his name. Will that change on Saturday?
Nashville SC Wants to Keep Its Good MLS Run Going
Nashville SC is 1-3-0 in the 2024 MLS, which is actually a pretty good record given that these guys have played against some really tough opponents. Their only win happened in the previous round against Charlotte FC. They won 2-1, with all three goals scored in the first half.
After that, Nashville’s midfielders upped their game, controlling the ball and keeping the opposition far away from their goal. It worked well for them in the previous round, but can this strategy work against LAFC on Saturday?
LAFC vs. Nashville Prediction
Our prediction is that Nashville SC will try to control the game in the midfield. However, we’re not sure if this strategy is going to work against LAFC. The boys from Los Angeles are hungry for points, so they’ll probably go all-in on Saturday.
