Lucky Winner Takes Home $2M Powerball Prize in Michigan

An exceptionally lucky man from Farwell, Michigan won a $2 million Powerball prize earlier this week. The 65-year-old Robert Mihalyfi won the Powerball draw on September 30 by matching the drawn numbers – 14-18-36-49-67.
The Powerball tickets are available for sale in Michigan at both retailers and online at the cost of $2 each.However, if players chose the option “Power Play” they can multiply their non-jackpot winnings x10 times up to $2 million maximum. To do so, players only need to pay an extra dollar.

This is precisely the case of Mr. Mihalyfi. He won the $1 million Powerball prize, but thanks to Power Play, the prize doubled and he took home $2 million. The lucky man purchased his ticket from a retailer at KC’s Lake Thirteen Party Store on 587 West Surrey Road in Farwell, Michigan.

Sharing his excitement, the lucky man said that he usually played Fantasy 5 but on this occasion, he decided to purchase a Powerball ticket. Mr. Mihalyfi said that the feeling of winning is amazing.
Furthermore, the lucky man said that the prize will help him through his retirement by providing more security and comfort. In conclusion, Mr. Mihalyfi said that he will share the reward with his family and the rest will be put towards retirement.

Besides the winner from Farwell, the lottery in the state made another lucky man a millionaire earlier this week. A man from Grand Rapids purchased a few lottery tickets at Tommy Brann’s Steakhouse, located at 4157 South Division Street in Wyoming, Michigan.
The lucky chap who chose to remain anonymous was about to throw away all tickets which he purchased after scratching them off quickly and thinking that they were all losers. However, he decided to take another look at the tickets and to his surprise, he had won 1 million dollars from the Big Spin ticket. Realizing what a big prize he had won, the lucky man said that he couldn’t believe his eyes.
