Manchester United vs. Liverpool 2024 Premier League Odds, Time, and Prediction

The next stop on Liverpool’s journey to the 2024 English Premier League (EPL) title is Old Trafford. The Reds from Merseyside are sitting at the top of the table, but Arsenal and Manchester City are just behind with 2 and 3 points fewer respectively.
This means that Liverpool needs to keep on winning to stay at the top of the standings. However, it won’t be easy to win this weekend as the Reds play against Manchester United at Old Trafford. That’s where they haven’t beaten the Red Devils since 2021. Is it time for that to change?

Manchester United Hoping to Snap Out of Poor Form
Manchester United is 15-3-12 this season, which accounts for 48 points. This team’s ambition is to get to the Top 4 and book a ticket to the Champions League. However, at this point, it doesn’t seem very likely.
Sure, the season is long and there are still eight more EPL games left for Man United to play. The problem, however, is that the Red Devils are trailing by 11 points behind the fourth-placed Aston Villa. Still, the worst thing is that their form in the league is abysmal.
These guys are 1-1-3 in their last five Premier League games, with their only win happening against Everton, a team that’s dangerously close to the relegation zone. On the bright side, Man United did do well in the FA Cup in March.
In fact, the Red Devils knocked Liverpool out of the competition in the quarterfinal. They won 4-3 after 120 minutes of play, thus crushing Liverpool’s dream of doing the quadruple in Jurgen Klopp’s final season as the boss of the Reds.
A Must-Win Situation for Liverpool
Liverpool has already won the EFL Cup this season and stands a chance to add two more trophies to the collection. The Reds have reached the quarterfinal of the Europa League, but it’s the Premier League that they seem to care about the most.
In the English top-flight, Jurgen Klopp’s men are 21-7-2, which accounts for 70 points. The bad news for them is that Arsenal and Manchester City are breathing by their necks. The good news is that the Reds have been in fantastic form.
They’ve lost only one EPL game since September and are 4-1-0 in their last five league games. Unfortunately, they do have some injury worries, especially at the back. However, most of their forwards are in top shape.
Manchester United vs. Liverpool Prediction
We predict that the Northwest Derby on April 7 is going to be a real spectacle with goals on both ends. Still, it’s Liverpool whose players seem much more dangerous than those of Manchester United, which is why our prediction is that the visitors will take all 3 points from their trip to Old Trafford.
