Microbetting Operator Betr to Expand into Core Markets
Betr is also launching a free-to-enter competition for its users against betting prodigy Derek Sullivan, a.k.a. "Fade God'

Betr, a gambling startup focused on microbetting, announced its product offering would expand into core markets for pre-match and in-play betting in time for the NCAA’s March Madness.
Pre-Match Betting with a 0% Margin
The expansion into pre-betting and in-play betting will allow bettors with Betr to wager on a team to win, team to win and by how much, and over/under on total points, taking advantage of the operator’s 0% margin on pre-match betting for the entire college basketball tournament.
Commenting on the announcement, Joey Levy, co-founder and chief executive officer of Betr, explained the logic behind the company’s decision to launch operations with microbetting products only, pointing to two decisive factors: real user experience and feedback to help the firm learn and reshape its products, and the desire to differentiate in an industry dominated by commoditized product experiences by being the first direct-to-consumer operator.
Now that we have done this successfully, we are putting Betr on a path to establishing betting market coverage product parity with incumbent operators, which will include the gradual and methodical integrations and launches of core markets, parlays, props, and many of the other betting experiences consumers can find elsewhere.
Joey Levy, CEO, Betr
The pre-market and in-play core betting markets will be powered by Betr’s technology partner, Simplebet, marking the first core market offering powered by the tech supplier and placing Betr “at the forefront” of Simplebet’s continuous innovation and product offering expansion.
Head-to-Head with the “Fade God”
To mark the launch that is timed for the NCAA tournament, Betr will be not only offering a 0% margin on pre-match products but will introduce a bettor contest, “Beat Derek’s Bracket,” in which its users will be able to measure their betting skills head-to-head with Derek Sullivan, a.k.a. “Fade God,” who holds an impressive betting record. The free-to-enter tournament will award the winner with $1,000
During this year’s March Madness, social media standouts Handshake Bets and the rest of the Betr team will head to Ohio to cover the first-round games at Dayton and Columbus.
Ohio was the state in which the company that was founded by Jake Paul and Joey Levy in 2022 launched its first operation in the US. To expand its US presence further, Betr expects to go live in Massachusetts and Virginia soon.
As a sports media and gaming company, Betr is seeking to present its customers with engaging and intuitive products and media experiences, while also prioritizing responsible gaming. The operator introduced a ban on credit card deposits and is setting deposit limits for bettors aged between 21 and 25. Time limits and “cool off” periods are also available as responsible gaming tools.
