Microgaming Reveals Return of Poker as Company Wins EGR Awards

Microgaming is making a return in poker with the announcement of Hold’em Poker. The game will debut on December 1 for select customers and bring back poker across the company’s network of partner operators.
Hold’em Poker Release Date Set for December 1-9
Microgaming is forging ahead with plans to introduce a new portfolio of poker games that will hit the shelves at partner online casinos.
This is the first time since Microgaming decided to suspend its title poker network, the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), back in 2019 that the company is driving new forays into the vertical.
Seeking to add a new dimension of choice, Microgaming has released its first game of many to come, Hold’em Poker. Microgaming has already teased a new game, specifically Lucky Showdown, which is set to be revealed in the coming months.
In Hold’em Poker, Microgaming takes the classic Texas Hold’em experience and recreates an immersive online environment, allowing the company to draw on its existing expertise in the segment and meet customer expectations.
Microgaming has confirmed that the game will feature $5 buy-in Sit & Go tournaments and allow mobile play. The title will come with a random prize pool wheel mechanic where players can win a $25,000 progressive jackpot.
Further to that, the game’s official launch is set for December 1 as part of a premier extended to select customers and then follow a global release on December 9.
Commenting on the news, Microgaming CEO John Coleman said that Hold’em Poker will make it possible to scale the company’s offer and tap into a segment that Microgaming is experienced in.
Hold’em Poker is crafted to appeal to both casual and competitive players, and it will ultimately serve to diversify what Mr. Coleman describes as an innovative content offering.
The news coincides with Microgaming’s latest recognition at the EGR Italy Awards 2020 where the company secured first place in both Best Casino Platform Supplier and Software Supplier.
