The listing of shares of Flutter Entertainment, the global gaming and entertainment company, on the NYSE is expected next week. Ahead of the upcoming listing, the company secured licensing for a board member and chair of its audit committee. The green light came from the Nevada Gaming Commission with the approval of Holly Koeppel as a board member and chair of Flutter’s audit committee, as announced by CDC Gaming Reports.
As a chair of the company’s audit committee, she is expected to oversee processes just as she has with other similar roles throughout her extensive career. Back in 2021, Koeppel was appointed to Flutter’s board. On the other hand, she held the role of senior independent director and audit chair since 2022, accomplishments that reaffirm her diversified experience and extensive knowledge.
Considering the Commission’s licensing, Koeppel spoke about the importance of the ever-changing regulations. She revealed that the passing of new laws and changes to the sector are inevitable. However, Koeppel explained: “Knowing what’s right and doing what needs to be done, if you can do all of those things, you will be successful.”
During the recent hearing, Commissioner Brian Krolicki asked if Koeppel would have enough time, considering that she currently holds similar chair audit committee roles with other businesses. To that query, she responded that she is aware of the challenges that come along with the audit chair committee role.
Commissioner Krolicki responded by saying: “It’s not a critique, but I’ve been there and done that.” He added that while the role is challenging, he has no doubt about Koeppel’s extensive experience and skills.
