Oklahoma Authorities Arrest Casino Shooter

The Oklahoma authorities have arrested a man suspected to be behind the recent shooting at the Osage Casino Hotel. The man, Jonathan Shane Ford, was located in Tulsa after an alleged effort to flee.

The 25-year-old is believed to be behind a recent shooting at the gambling property’s parking lot. The incident took place at 2 pm last Saturday when Ford allegedly shot a victim in the leg. The wounded person was later hospitalized and is expected to fully recover authorities said.

No one else was hurt in the incident, according to the authorities. The motive for the shooting is still unknown.

After wounding his victim, Ford allegedly fled from the parking lot in a Dodge Journey decorated with Ponca Nation tags, according to reports. The Oklahoma police warned locals that the suspect is dangerous and armed.

After searching his apartment, local authorities learned that Ford wasn’t home. On Monday, however, Ford was located in Tulsa and promptly arrested. He was spotted in a vehicle on a local street and apprehended by officers from the US Marshals Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force and Tulsa County deputies.

Local reports couldn’t confirm whether Ford resisted or was injured during his arrest. He was put behind bars and charged with shooting with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm after a former conviction, threatening an act of violence and malicious injury of property.

Elsewhere, an arrested casino robber admitted to assaulting another prisoner on New Year’s Eve. Chase Aaron Henderson, 34, now risks up to six years in prison for the assault.

Henderson is in custody on a $3 million bail and is charged with attempted murder, assault on a police officer and kidnapping because of the robbery of the COD Casino in Minden, Nevada, in July. Together with another man, Henderson forced casino employees and patrons to enter a locked room and stole $40,000 before fleeing the scene.

His partner in crime, Andrew Scott Toomey, is also in custody on a $1.67 million bail. Both men have previously been convicted of crimes.

Speaking of Nevada, a recent shooting in Las Vegas left one dead and two injured. The incident happened in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road. By the time of the police’s arrival, one man was dead.

Officers believe that this is a case of a street fight gone too far.
