PGA of America Joins AGA’s Have A Game Plan Campaign
Have A Game Plan advises players to set a budget, familiarize themselves with the odds and play only with legal operators

The American Gaming Association (AGA) announced that the PGA of America has joined the Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly. campaign. As a result, the PGA will promote responsible gaming ahead of its upcoming championship in Louisville.
For reference, the 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place at Valhalla Golf Club and will run from May 16 to May 19. Thanks to PGA’s partnership with AGA’s public service campaign, the championship will promote responsible gaming by featuring co-branded content, educational materials and strategic activations across PGA of America’s digital and social platforms.
The Have A Game Plan initiative launched in 2019 as the AGA sought to educate Americans on how to bet responsibly. The campaign has partnerships with major gaming operators, sporting organizations and media companies, allowing it to send a strong message to bettors in the country.
Have A Game Plan advises players to set a budget and stick to it and keep gaming social by interacting with other gaming adults. The campaign also advises players to familiarize themselves with the odds and play only with legal, regulated operators.
PGA of America’s Chief Is Excited to Promote Responsible Betting
PGA of America’s chief commercial officer, Jeff Price, commented on the partnership with AGA’s Have A Game Plan campaign, saying that it aligns with his team’s values to make sure that golf fans have “the right tools in their bag to bet responsibly.”
Activating AGA’s Have A Game Plan campaign during this year’s PGA Championship and beyond will be an integral part of our strategy as interest in golf wagering grows.
Jeff Price, CCO, PGA of America
Price also noted that the partnership with AGA’s campaign comes ahead of the 106th PGA Championship, which will welcome ESPN BET as its official sponsor.
Joe Maloney, AGA’s senior vice president of strategic communications, also commented on the partnership, saying that his team is looking forward to the tie-up with the PGA of America. According to him, the arrangement will amplify Have A Game Plan’s principles with golf enthusiasts and bettors in the US.
Together, we’re driving the message home: set a budget, stick to it, and wager responsibly.

By teaming up with Have A Game Plan, PGA of America joins a list of league partners that includes the likes of the MLB, NASCAR, NBA, PGA TOUR, NHL and WNBA. More information is available on the initiative’s official website.
