Phil Hellmuth Liked Tapped as BetRivers Spokesperson
A series of social posts by Phil Hellmuth has suggested that the legendary poker ace has been picked by BetRivers to be the company’s official spokesperson

Phil Hellmuth, a legend in the poker space, and one of the most successful players at the green felt in terms of lifetime winnings, is likely to be tapped by BetRivers as the company’s official spokesperson.
Hellmuth Appears Decked Out in BetRivers Paraphernalia
This could reflect BetRivers’ interest in space and forays into poker. However, a social media post on X reveals that Hellmuth has been part of a photoshoot in which he is decked out in BetRivers-branded apparel from head to toe.
The post simply says, “Hour 5 of our photo shoot… #POSITITIVY,” which if a little vague, at least establishes the connection between the brand and the legendary player. Hellmuth, though, may not be limited to just the poker operations and he might similarly speak for BetRivers Sportsbook as well.
“I bet on all these sports,” Hellmuth interjects at one point during the short video shared on X, which again suggests that he is getting thick with the popular gambling and betting company. Hellmuth himself is involved with Rush Street Interactive, the company that operates BetRivers, as he invested in the brand and its operating company.
However, he sold his shares in Rush Street Interactive following an announcement by the company it would be shuttering its affiliate program. It does appear that Hellmuth has not completely walked away from the brand, though, and he backed the BetRivers Poker launch in Pennsylvania earlier this year.
BetRivers the Heir Apparent of Run It Once Poker
BetRivers Poker also became a successor of the Run It Once Poker platform previously run by poker pro-Phil Galfond. Although the platform was a success and a hit with poker aficionados, it failed to elicit the wider performance necessary to turn it into a commercially viable venture.
Rush Street Interactive, though, bought Run It Once in 2022 and has now brought it back to life under the BetRivers Poker brand. More launches, besides Pennsylvania, should follow before long. Whether the reincarnated version will be more of a success remains to be seen.
As to Hellmuth, however – he is certainly betting on it.
