Powerball Jackpot Goes Unclaimed, More Players Win $1M Prizes
In the meantime, a player from New Jersey just scored the historic Mega Millions jackpot of $1.13 billion

Yet another player, this time from Louisiana, has narrowly missed winning the Powerball jackpot, which is nearing a billion dollars. While the player in question will miss out on a $951 million payday, they will still take back a prize of $1 million back home.
As in other similar cases, the ticket matched the five winning numbers but failed to correctly match the Powerball. For reference, the winning numbers for the March 30 drawing were 12, 13, 33, 50 and 52. The winning Powerball number, on the other hand, was 23.
The winning ticket, according to the Louisiana Lottery, was purchased in Alexandria. Another 20,000 tickets purchased in the state won prizes ranging from $4 to $300. The price of a Powerball ticket is $2.
The jackpot, as mentioned, stood at approximately $951 million at the time of the March 30 drawing. Since no one won the big prize, it has risen to $975 million for the next drawing. Speaking of which, the next Powerball drawing is scheduled for April 1 with almost a billion dollars on the line. The current cash value of the Powerball jackpot is standing at $471.7 million, according to Powerball’s official website.
In addition to the ticket in Louisiana, players in Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania also won prizes of $1 million for correctly matching the five white balls.
The odds of claiming the grand prize, according to Powerball, are 1 in 292,201,338. Drawings are broadcast every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10.59 pm ET.
More People Win Big
In the meantime, a player from New Jersey just scored the historic Mega Millions jackpot of $1.13 billion. This was notably the fifth-largest jackpot in the game’s history. The winning numbers were 7, 11, 22, 29, and 38, with a Mega Ball number of 4.
In addition to making one player rich, the drawing also created 13 new millionaires as over a dozen other tickets won $1 million after matching the first five balls.
In other news, a Michigan woman recently won almost a million after using a small lottery win to purchase another ticket. She was playing the Jackpot Slots Fast Cash game.
Elsewhere, a French couple just won the €73 million EuroMillions jackpot.
