Renato Moicano vs. Benoit Saint Denis UFC Odds, Time, and Prediction
The lightweight fight between Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint Denis will serve as the main event of UFC Fight Night 243, which will take place at Accor Arena in Paris, France, on September 28

France’s best lightweight Benoit Saint Denis (13-2-1) has spent six months licking his wounds following the loss to Dustin Poitier. Is he ready to bounce back with a win? Not if you’re asking his opponent Renato Moicano, who’s looking for his third win of 2024.

When, Where, and How to Watch?

Renato Moicano Wants His Good Run to Continue
Renato Moicano is 19-5-1 overall with three wins in a row, two of which happened this year. First, he defeated Drew Dober by unanimous decision. Even though each fighter landed just 23 significant strikes in that fight, there was nothing controversial about Moicano getting the win.
He was the one to dominate the fight on the ground. The Brazilian landed three takedowns and kept his opponent pinned to the ground for most of the fight.
It was a nice comeback for Moicano after nearly two years, and it made him hungry for fighting. That’s why he came back into the Octagon just a few months later. This time, he fought Jalin Turner and beat him with a TKO after landing a bunch of punches and elbows.
What’s interesting is that it was Moicano’s first win by KO/TKO ever. His favorite method is submission as he’s a fine grappler with a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The big question is whether he’s a better grappler than his opponent at UFC Paris.
Benoit Saint Denis to Redeem Himself in Front of French Crowd
The former French special forces operative started his MMA career in 2019. He went undefeated for 9 fights in a row, which earned him a contract with the UFC. On his debut in Dana White’s promotion, he lost to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. What’s important to note is that his opponent landed a nasty groin strike on him, but Saint Denis still decided to continue.
It was a welterweight fight, after which he moved to the lightweight division, where he went 5-0 before losing to Dustin Poirier in March this year.

This really was a fight to remember, with both fighters doing really well. BSD landed nearly twice as many strikes as Poirier and made three takedowns. But then, a moment of inattention from Saint Denis and Poirier knocked him out in the second round.
It was a soul-crushing defeat, but if someone can recover from it, it’s BSD. This guy has spent the last six months working on his comeback. Do we think he’s ready?
Renato Moicano vs. Benoit Saint Denis Prediction
Benoit Saint Denis might not be championship material (at least not yet) as seen in the Poirier fight, but we do think he’s better than most fighters in the lightweight division. This includes Renato Moicano, who we think is no match for the Frenchman. Add to all this the fact that the fight is taking place in the French capital, and you’ll understand why we expect “God of War” to win by stoppage.
