Scientific Games Welcomes Angela Goodwin as VP of Operations
Goodwin initially started as an Instant Game Manufacturing Coordinator and worked her way up to become the Senior Director of SGEP Operations and Global Instant Products

In a move to further strengthen its global presence, Scientific Games has announced Angela Goodwin as the new vice president of operations for their renowned instant game management program.
Goodwin Takes the Helm at Scientific Games’ Enhanced Partnership Program
With 16 years of expertise in lottery instant product manufacturing and management, Goodwin is set to lead the operations for Scientific Games’ Enhanced Partnership Program (SGEP), which currently powers performance for over 20 lotteries worldwide.
Scientific Games, a pioneer in the gaming industry since 1973, revealed that Goodwin’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment as the company continues its mission to optimize instant product portfolios for lotteries.
The SGEP programs, operational since 1985, have consistently evolved, aiding lotteries in maximizing their instant-game portfolios through innovative services like game design, data-driven analytics, advanced logistics, licensed brand services, and retail sales and marketing support. The SGEP programs currently manage instant products valued at an impressive $39.6 billion in annual sales globally.
Goodwin’s strategic vision and natural leadership skills are expected to drive the program to new heights, ensuring responsible growth for lottery customers while enhancing instant product performance.
President John Schulz Hails Angela Goodwin’s Strategic Vision
John Schulz, president of Americas and global instant products for Scientific Games, expressed confidence in Goodwin’s abilities, stating: “We believe that Angela’s natural leadership skills, overall management philosophy and extensive knowledge of our SGEP operations will provide the strategic vision to evolve the program and achieve growth for our lottery customers by responsibly driving instant product performance.”
In her role, Goodwin will be overseeing a team of instant product management experts based at Scientific Games’ SGEP operations in the US. Her responsibilities include collaborating with lottery customers and liaising with sales, marketing, and government affairs teams. Additionally, Goodwin will support SGEP procurement efforts and explore new business opportunities to expand the program’s reach.
Goodwin, who previously served as senior director of SGEP Operations and Global Instant Products, has steadily climbed the ranks within the company since joining as an Instant Game Manufacturing Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Georgia Southwestern State University.
Scientific Games, operating in 50 countries with 130 customers, is the world’s largest creator, producer, and manager of lottery instant games. Their products account for a substantial 70% of global retail sales, making them a driving force in the international gaming industry. Recently, the company was honored with two 2023 Communitas Awards, recognizing its commitment to social responsibility.
