Turkey vs. Portugal is the Euro 2024 game that will probably decide the winner of Group F. The match is on the program on Saturday, June 22, at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany

The Turkey vs. Portugal Euro 2024 game is played in Dortmund, a place with a sizeable Turkish population. In fact, Turks are the largest immigrant group in the city, which is why Turkey is expected to get huge support from the stands of Borussia Dortmund’s stadium.
They’ll feel at home on Saturday, but will that be enough for them to grab a point (or three) against mighty Portugal? Let’s find out!

Turkey Might be the Dark Horse of Euro 2024
Turkey started the campaign with a 3:1 win over the Euro debutant Georgia. It was a much more exciting game than what the final score might suggest, but the Turks can be satisfied with their performance.

Genuinely never heard a stadium as loud as that. For 90 minutes those fans just went to war for their team, screaming, whistling and kicking every single ball. My ears are still ringing now, what a crazy match! #EURO2024 pic.twitter.com/ZU1Jxw64lY
They worked well as a team, with practically all of their players doing a very good job. The only player who we feel could’ve done better in that game is striker Baris Alper Yilmaz, who just couldn’t get on target.
It’s not easy to point out their best player in that game, but we can say for certain that Turkey’s right side was brilliant with full-back Mert Muldur and winger Arda Guler creating a huge number of chances, as well as doing well defensively.
The question, however, is whether they’ll be able to replicate that sort of performance in the duel with Portugal, considering that this time, they’ll be faced against Nuno Mendes, Ruben Dias, and other elite opponents.
All Eyes on CR7 Again
Did you know that Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in all five previous Euro tournaments? In total, he’s got 14 goals to his name in this competition, which makes him the record-holder. But he failed to find the net in Portugal’s opening game of his sixth Euro tournament.

His team struggled a lot to break open the well-organized defense of the Czech Republic. The Czechs went 1:0 up around the one-hour mark, after which they parked the bus in front of their goal. CR7 and his teammates created plenty of chances before one of the opposition players made it 1:1 with an own goal.
The Portuguese had to wait until the second minute of the stoppage time for the winner. It was the work of Porto’s forward Francisco Conceicao. Ronaldo failed to score in that game, but Portugal’s 39-year-old captain had a fine game otherwise. This is what gives this team’s fans a lot of hope ahead of the clash with Turkey.
Turkey vs. Portugal Prediction
The Czechs entered the game with Portugal knowing they stand a little chance of winning. That’s why they defended ferociously, letting Portugal have the ball. With practically all of their players close to their own goal, it wasn’t too hard to stop Cristiano Ronaldo, but this time, we suspect it’s going to be different.
This time, CR7 & Co. are playing against attacking-minded Turkey, whose players will go forward to try and score. As a result, we could see some goals on both ends. Still, it’s Portugal who we think will score more. And it’s Portugal’s captain who we think will score at least once on Saturday.
