Vancouver Whitecaps are Lucky to Be In the CCC Semis

Even though they’re doing great in the 2025 MLS – they’re at the top of the Western Conference – the Whitecaps just can’t be called heavyweights of North American soccer. This club was founded 15 years and since, it hasn’t achieved much, especially not on the continental stage.

In fact, Vancouver’s biggest achievement is reaching the semifinal stage of this year’s CONCACAF Champions Cup. But can they take it one step further? Not according to betting odds, which suggest that their journey will end at this phase.

The thing is that this team just doesn’t look good enough to compete with Inter Miami. Sure, there are some decent players on Vancouver’s roster, but they’re just not as good as Lionel Messi & Co.

Speaking of players, the Whitecaps’ arguably best player is Brian White, a USMNT striker who’s currently third on the list of top scorers in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Inter Miami Look Unstoppable

This is the best team in North America, and it’s not just because of Lionel Messi. The soccer GOAT is just one of a number of elite players wearing the Herons jersey in 2025.

Others include his former Barcelona teammates, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba. Then, there’s Inter Miami’s goalie Oscar Ustari, a former Pachica keeper who’s been in brilliant form lately.

In fact, it’s mostly thanks to this guy that Inter Miami got to the semifinal. He put on a brilliant performance in the quarterfinal, stopping 8 of LAFC’s 9 goal attempts. After that, he kept a clean sheet in two straight MLS games.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Inter Miami Prediction

Both teams are playing great soccer lately, which is why we expect the Vancouver vs. Inter Miami game on Thursday to be a real banger. We’ll probably see goals on both ends, but given how good Inter Miami’s goalkeeper has been, we doubt Vancouver will score more than once.

That said, we think this game might end 1:1. Then, in the rematch in Florida, we’re certain the Herons will destroy the Whitecaps.
