Aaron Goodwin, known for his role in “Ghost Adventures,” is facing a shocking and unexpected betrayal.
His wife, Victoria Goodwin, was recently arrested under charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder after she allegedly plotted to have him killed, according to TMZ.
“Am I a Bad Person?”
Authorities claim Victoria had been communicating with a Florida prison inmate since October 2024, discussing ways to escape her marriage.
In one disturbing message obtained by police, she allegedly wrote, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Investigators uncovered additional exchanges in which Victoria reportedly provided detailed information about Aaron’s whereabouts, including his filming schedule in California, to facilitate the alleged assassination attempt.
Law enforcement sources claim Victoria had earmarked $11,515 to pay for the hit, with an initial payment of $2,500.
“Was It Done?”
However, her plans unraveled when prison officials discovered the inmate’s contraband phone.
Upon examining its contents, authorities found a chilling message between the inmate and the supposed hitman that read, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
Despite the alarming exchange, it remains unclear how far the plot progressed or what became of the alleged hitman.
When confronted by law enforcement, Victoria reportedly admitted that she and Aaron had been experiencing marital issues.
However, she denied any true intent to harm him, claiming she was merely fantasizing about being single and did not recall sending incriminating messages.
She also insisted that the funds in question were meant for purchasing cellphones rather than a contract killing.
Victoria was taken into custody in Nevada last Thursday and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
According to Clark County jail records, she is scheduled to appear before a judge on March 25.
The Blindsided Actor Filed for Divorce
Aaron, devastated by the ordeal, told TMZ the revelation blindsided him, as he believed their marriage was in a good place.
His longtime friend and “Ghost Adventures” co-star Zak Bagans shared that family and friends are rallying around Aaron during this challenging time.
The couple exchanged vows in August 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. Recently, they shared what appeared to be a happy Valentine’s Day mini-golf outing on social media, where Victoria affectionately referred to Aaron as her “Valentine.”
Following these shocking events, Aaron has officially moved to end their marriage. On March 12, the 48-year-old paranormal investigator filed for divorce in Clark County, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.
In the filing, Aaron requested that neither party receive alimony and that their shared assets and debts be divided under Nevada law.
He also sought confirmation that his personal assets remain his sole property and asked for reimbursement of his legal fees.
Aaron cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split, stating in the complaint that “the views, tastes, likes and dislikes” of both parties have become “incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony.”
The documents further assert there was no possibility of reconciliation between the two.
