William Hill Unveils Details for Permanent Venue at Capital One Arena

William Hill revealed details of its permanent sports book location inside Capital One Arena. At the permanent venue, the leading sports book operator will offer one of a kind sports fan experience.
William Hill’s New Sports Book at Capital One Arena
Thursday, October 15, the leading sports book operator William Hill unveiled the first look of its permanent sports book location inside Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Following the pop-up sports book launch at Capital One Arena in July, the new venue is expected to open for visitors early in 2021. The new William Hill Sports Book in partnership with Monumental Sports and Entertainment will offer a first-of-its-kind sports fan experience.

In partnership with @MSE, the @WilliamHillDC Sports Book offers a first-of-its-kind sports fan experience inside a professional sports complex.

The permanent venue by William Hill will feature a multi-level entertainment space. The first floor will offer a TV broadcast and radio studio, visible from the main bar area, and to pedestrians walking around the location. The sports book will feature 12 ticket windows and 10 self-serving kiosks. Furthermore, there will be two VIP areas as well as one large private dining/event space.
The entertainment space of William Hill’s new sports book will be wrapped with custom LED lighting. But that’s not all. The second level of the sports book will also feature a jumbotron, which is a replica of the one inside Capital One Arena. Once the new venue receives the regulatory approvals, the construction of the permanent location will begin.
Unrivaled Game-Day Experience
In a statement, the President of Retail Operations for William Hill US, David Grolman said that the pop-up sports book has exceeded the company’s expectations. He added that consequently, the company is excited to create the “next phase of the sports fan experience with our permanent location inside the Capital One Arena“.
According to the company statement, the new venue design elements pay homage to the history of sports and the local professional teams. Sketches of local arenas printed on the ceiling, vintage lockers in the main bar, and local memorabilia are only a few of the things making the venue unique.

In a statement, Jim Van Stone, President, Business Operations, and Chief Commercial Officer for Monumental Sports & Entertainment said that the company is thrilled to be the first US sports complex to have opened a year-round sports book at Capital One Arena. He outlined that William Hill’s one-of-a-kind immersive experience will draw sports fans from all sports and the venue will undoubtedly become a “premier entertainment destination” for visitors from Washington and Greater Washington regions.
New Sports Book Venue in Pennsylvania
Elsewhere, in partnership with Caesars Entertainment, William Hill opened a new sports book location at Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester, Pennsylvania. With the new venue now a fact, the company operates in 14 states and currently has more than 160 sports book locations.
The new sports book at Harrah’s Philadelphia features 6 ticket windows as well as 16 self-service betting kiosks. Players at the venue can also benefit from an expanded wagering menu that offers in-play betting.

Furthermore, the operations of the luxury sports book lounge “The Book” will continue within the sports book space at Harrah. The lounge features custom bar seating, high-top tables, stadium lounge seats, and more than 45 large screen TVs. Sports fans that want to bet online can also use the mobile app by Caesars Casino & Sportsbook by Harrah’s Philadelphia.
