The Massachusetts State Lottery has confirmed in a press release that one Christine Wilson has won the lottery a second time in ten weeks. Wilson won $1 million from a $10 100X Cash scratch-off ticket, and this is the exact amount that she won the first time she played another lottery game, Lifetime Millions, off a $50 bet.

The previous reward was claimed on February 23, 2024,  and was also $1 million. Wilson was very happy about her second winning ticket as well. She has already spent some of the money from the first reward to purchase an SUV but did not say what she intends to do with the rest of the money.

As to the new reward, Wilson confirmed that she will keep the money in her savings account. The ticket was sold at a Family Food Mart in Mansfield, which is also looking at a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The previous winning ticket was also bought in Mansfield, from Dubs’s Discount Liquors to be specific.

The 100X Cash has a top prize of $4 million, making it a very popular lottery game among those hoping to win big off the draws.

As for Wilson, she confirmed that she intends to keep playing, although how much she allocates to lottery tickets is not clear. Wilson opted for the lump sum of the payments for both her rewards, getting a quick $650,000 buck instead of deferred payments which come with smaller taxes to the state but are payable over a prolonged period – usually years.

The odds of winning the lottery twice are quite staggering – 283 billion to one, to be precise, which makes Wilson’s win an unlikely event.
