Established in 2013 and launched one year later to generate revenue for cities, towns, and counties in Wyoming using “responsible management and sale of readily available, low-cost, fun, and entertaining lottery products,” WyoLotto has become a part of the unique culture of the state that carries the untamed spirit of the West.

Over the years, the company has largely contributed to the growth of the economy while taking important steps to expand its responsible gambling efforts, with special emphasis on its work over the past year.

In recognition of all of these efforts, one of its top leaders, chief operations officer Robin Medina, has been bestowed with the honor of being invited to join a prestigious national gambling committee under the wing of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).

WyoLotto, “Pleased” to Make the Announcement

The lottery took to their LinkedIn account to say they were “pleased to announce” that Medina “has been named to join a national committee to support problem gambling initiatives.”

The group will be responsible for managing nominations and elections for NCPG’s Board of Directors, a vital role in guiding national efforts around problem gambling.

The recognition highlights not only Medina’s leadership but also WyoLotto’s commitment to responsible gambling.

WyoLotto’s chief executive officer, Jonathan “Jon” Clontz, commented on the accomplishment, saying their foundation as a corporation is to responsibly manage their activity for the state.

Robin‘s selection to the committee proves the lottery is “leading the way nationally when it comes to promoting responsible gambling and raising awareness of problem gambling,” Clontz went on.

Ongoing Efforts to Raise Awareness

The organization was recently accepted into the Responsible Gambling Verification Program, a joint initiative of NCPG and the North American State and Provincial Lotteries

The program is deemed the highest standard for lottery organizations looking to prioritize player safety and education.

WyoLotto’s Responsible Gambling Program goes beyond compliance. It’s a comprehensive strategy designed to inform players, train retailers, and engage the wider community on serious topics like how to apply responsible gambling tools in practice and knowing where to turn when gambling becomes a concern.

Medina took the opportunity to call the national accreditation “a major achievement” for both the lottery and the Equality State, which is getting ready to legalize online gambling this year.

“Through these efforts, we have been recognized on a national level, which is why I have been selected for the Nominations and Selection Committee for NCPG. I am very excited and see this as an opportunity to further support our mission,” added Medina, who describes herself as a “highly motivated, result-oriented, and well-accomplished professional.”

Before joining WyoLotto almost nine years ago, planning and overseeing company operations and projects and creating “operational strategies to increase profits and brand loyalty,” the University of Phoenix graduate spent more than four years as Warehouse Twenty-One’s strategic account director.
Before that, she occupied other roles, including an impressive two-decade tenure with the leading developer and manufacturer of innovative personal and oral health care products, Water Pik, Inc.
